It would be great that all the people who are already strongly committed to the environment, to justice and the improvement of public health became aware of how deeply adopting and defending an animal-free diet contributes to the conservation of Nature, better personal and collective health or the fight against famine. People consume much less resources and lead healthier lives if they get their food directly from plants. As for respect for animals, I believe that animals should only be born to live wild and free in their natural habitats. We don’t need cattle and we don’t need pets either, what we need is learning to live together and to be more kind and affectionate towards other human beings instead. To love and care for people, to love animals and to care for wild ones by preserving their environment.
Since May 2007 I’m in a low-fat raw vegan diet, which I consider a fantastic step forward in terms of health, simplicity and also ecology: no need of fuel for cooking, greater resistance to hot and cold, edenic permaculture forest gardens rather than cereal fields... I believe that we human animals have the right to live wild and free in our natural environment too, to the extent we dare!
